Our physicians are Board Certified specialists in otolaryngology, the oldest medical specialty in the United States. They are trained in the surgical and medical management of disorders of the ears, sinuses, larynx (voice box), mouth, throat, and structures of the neck and face. Otolaryngologists diagnose and treat specialty-specific disorders in both children and adults.
Steven R. Jones M.D.
Dr. Jones graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he received numerous academic honors. He completed an otolaryngology residency at the Eye and Ear Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Jones is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a member of several professional organizations including the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Allegheny County Medical Society. Dr. Jones is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Otolaryngology.
Scott E. Celin, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Celin graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine and completed a residency in otolaryngology at the Eye and Ear Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Celin also completed a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. Dr. Celin is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Celin is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Celin is currently President of the UPMC Passavant Medical Staff.
Philip A. Pollice, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Pollice is a graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he also completed a Masters of Science in Education. He completed a residency in otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Advanced Laryngology. Dr. Pollice is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Duquesne University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Pollice is currently President-Elect of the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh Medical Staff.
James E. Blaugrund, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Blaugrund received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. His residency in otolaryngology was completed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Blaugrund completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Advanced Laryngology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital prior to joining the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania where he was Director of Otolaryngology at Presbyterian Hospital and the Director of the Voice Center. Dr. Blaugrund is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Duquesne University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Blaugrund is the Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Allegheny General Hospital.
Michael S. Srodes, M.D.
Dr. Srodes received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his otolaryngology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Srodes finished a rhinology fellowship at the Lahey Clinic of Boston in July 2005 where he focused on sinus disease and endoscopic sinus surgery. Dr. Srodes is Board Certified in Otolaryngology.
